Character Profile

Formerly Georgiana Darcy’s companion and governess, Mrs. Younge conspired with Wickham to seduce Georgiana and persuade her to elope. She was dismissed when the scheme was discovered and later ran a lodging house in London. During the Lydia–Wickham elopement, Darcy seeks Mrs. Younge out and pays her for information that enables him to trace Wickham.
